The Big Idea about Gratitude
PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Story
The American Story, in itself, has this idea of Thanksgiving. It is a National Holiday, which is celebrated wildly and proudly by American Patriot and others as well. Other Nations were not blessed with such a holiday.

The Big Idea
The American Story from 1621, when the pilgrim came searching for religious freedom. One tribe of, the Wampanog, the native Americans helped them to survive. The next year, the pilgrim celebrated their harvest with the Natives.

In 1776, American were united as an independent state. In 1787, the Constitution was written. In 1789, George Washington felt the need to celebrate this as a remembrance of Thanksgiving.

In 1868, Abe Lincoln, amidst the Civil War, thought the idea of sitting down and have a meal and celebrate life was essential. Thus, he added this day as a day of rest and appreciate life.
DANGERS OF INGRATITUDE

LACK
It shrinks your life to what’s missing. Even good days feel empty because your mind keeps scanning for the next lack.

NO TRUST
It turns people into tools. When effort isn’t noticed, relationships start to feel transactional, and trust fades.

NO GROWTH
It blocks growth. You miss lessons, mentors, and second chances because you’re too busy dismissing what you have.
